Classes
50+ Strength Train
If you are 50 years or older, this is a great class for your entire body using weights, resistance bands, stability balls, and body weight exercises. A good class for those with arthritis to keep you moving. The exercises are scaled to your ability and the teacher can accomodate any injuries you may have. This class will improve your strenght and bone density as well as working on your balance.
Bill's Class
Kick Boxing will be the main feature of this class using Boxing Bob and Wavemaster bags. Bill House will teach the class and include a variety of other exercises to balance out the workout. This will be a high intensity cardio class and a great way to start your day. Bring your own gloves or use some of ours. Limited number of participants - please sign-up by phone or at front desk. About an hour.
Core
"Strictly Core" is taught by Bill House and will strengthen your core. Expect a variety of core exercises including but not limited to using the stability ball, medicine ball, bands and weights. Core exercise will promote greater funtcion in everyday life and improve your sports performance. This is a 45 minute class.
Kettlebells
This workout is cardio based with strength and flexibility. These classes use the cast iron kettlebell that looks like a canon ball with a handle. Russian Olympic athletes have used these exercises for centuries to build strength and stamina. The class may include some other forms of exercise combined with the kettlebells.
Kick Boxing
This is an intense 45 minute class that will push you. There is some warm-up with abdominal strengthening followed by kicking and punching combinations. You will be kicking/punching a boxing bag or a dummy. Bring your own gloves or use some of ours. This class has lots of cardio work and lots of stress relief. You do not need prior experience with boxing, punching or kicking just expect a strong overall workout.
Pilates
This mat pilates class is a real core strengthener. Flexibility will be emphasized with strong muscles. You will find your posture improved and your whole body will feel longer and leaner from your pilates workout.
Sports Condition
This 60 minute workout enables you to test and build your aerobic and anaerobic base. Several stations will be set up using bands, weights, medicine balls, and plyometric training to ensure an intense, yet efficient workout. Expect fast-paced, intense cardio and an all body workout. Come and challenge yourself! This class is for those who want to be a little stronger, get a little faster, get a little edge for their competitive sport. You are a good match for this class if you already workout on a regular basis and want to take that workout to a new level of intensity.
Willpower
Willpower will use many different tools to get effective results; including (but not limited to) stability balls, kettle bells, resistance bands, weights, and bodyweight drills. This class will be scaled to accommodate various levels of fitness & strength. This class will combine elements of strength, cardiovascular conditioning, balance, stability and fat loss into a potent cocktail. Who Should take this class? A change in the weight size or body position can change the degree of difficulty - so that various levels of fitness can work together. It is recommended that you have prior strength training or kettlebell work.
Zumba
Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away! This workout is so much fun you won't know you are working out. Music, dance, fun - this is a class taught by cerified Zumba teachers. Zumba is a world-wide phenomenon - join the fun.
